Fall Greening 2024

The KU EWB Student Chapter was looking for some projects to assist urban neighborhoods in Kansas City - a large group of about 25 volunteers. So for our 3rd annual Fall Greening, Historic Green paired them up w/ three community gardens. At MO Hives KC (Blue Hills Neighborhood), we stained a large wood deck, weeded the pollinator garden & repaired the boardwalk we built over much of the year. At Boon Area 1 (Noble Neighborhood), we built a brick walkway & worked on architectural renderings for planned additions to this pocket park. And at the Benton Community Garden (Santa Fe Neighborhood - a project we designed & built in 2012, we worked on design ideas to get their on-site water cistern working again.

Thanks to all the volunteers, project leaders & partners who came out for this beau
